Excellent food. Good service. Friendly atmosphere.
After several years going to Haldi it is sad to say that New Years Eve was an awful experience. 3 hours to wait for a very poor meal with cold, tasteless food. We advised of an allergy but the food arrived still covered in coriander. Rice was overcooked, bhaji undercooked. The entire evening they continued to take orders for takeaways. The queue was out the door with people waiting over an hour to get their ordered takeaway. They left the eat in diners waiting hours without food. No drink orders taken. People were left eating popadoms without plates. We were left without several pieces of cutlery. There was no apology for the awful food or service. The manager felt a discount of 30 was generous. He continued to argue despite the numerous complaints we made. We eventually left 3 1/2 hours after arriving with a 7 year old. A number of other tables left after there starters still hadn't been served having waited over an hour. It is sad as we had always enjoyed our meals at Haldi. We will never be returning.
